Why not change to ABS Accountancy?

Becoming a client of ABS Accountancy Ltd is a straight forward process. Firstly, we like to meet you to decide if we can work together and of course, there will be a few forms to complete, but essentially you appoint us, and we become your accountant. We will take as much hassle away from switching Accountants as possible.

Quite often, potential clients ask us how they can become a client and what they need to think about. We have listed some of the common questions below.

  • Your Name including a contact number;
  • Nature of Business including how long you’ve been trading;

A member of our team will then call you to establish some key facts about any issues you may be facing and to arrange an initial meeting. Alternatively, you could contact our office, where a coffee/tea awaits. A Partner or a senior member of our staff will be more than pleased to help you.

At our initial meeting, we will discuss a fixed fee plan. All fees are payable monthly.  If we are required to undertake additional work which we have not addressed at the initial meeting, then we will always give you an idea of the cost in advance.

You will never receive surprise bills!

6I already have an existing accountant – does this make any difference?

Yes, it does. If you wish to change accountants, then this is a relevantly easy process. Still, we do have to follow some professional courtesies, which involves us writing to your existing Accountant to confirm that there are no professional reasons why we should not act for you. This is generally a formality, and your outgoing Accountant will usually provide us with any relevant information about your affairs to make the changeover as smooth and as straightforward as possible for you.

7Do I need any references to become a client?

We may on occasions request that you provide references. If you are already in business, we will ask you to let us have a copy of your most recent accounts/tax return. Additionally, under current legislation, we are legally obliged to obtain proof of your identity and address. This process will be fully explained to you at the initial meeting.

8What information is needed to receive a quote and advice?

Firstly, to get a feel of the amount of work involved, we’d need a very brief review of your books and records. If there’s anything you need help with and think it’s relevant for us to know,
